Day 4 – She’s almost there !!
Dorothy called today at 11 am which is 7 pm on Mt. Kilimanjaro. They are all very tired and worn out and have had a very difficult day. There were lots of rocks to go around and a lot of up and down climbing. They are about to take a 4 hour nap and will awake at 11 pm tonight. They will leave for the summit at midnight.
When they begin again at midnight, they will have another difficult hike. It will take 7 hours to get to the summit. Then they will hike for 4 hours back down the mountain. They will rest for an hour and then hike another 4 hours.
She said everyone was in very good spirits, and they are pretty sure they will all make it.
