Mt Kilimanjaro Itinerary:   Feb. 24th Depart from Norfolk to Detroit to Amsterdam to Arusha, Tanzania   Feb 25th Arrive in Arusha. Begin acclimation hike on Mt. Meru   Feb. 27th Depart for Machame village and on to park entrance to begin climb Overnight in Machame Camp at 9,850 feet   Feb. 28th Hike to Shira Camp at 12,600 feet   March 1st Hike to Lava Tower at 15,000 feet and then descend to Barranco Camp at 12,950 feet for further acclimatization   March 2nd Hike to Barafu Camp at 15,200 feet   March 3rd  @ 1:00a.m. Depart for the summit Hike for 6-7 hours Reach summit Celebrate and take photos of HRMS banners Begin descent Hike for another 8-10 hours Overnight at Mweka Camp at 10,200 feet   March 4th Finish descent with 4-5 hour hike to gate of park   Travel back to lodge in Arusha for a SHOWER, hot meal and sleep!!!
