December 27th
Spent the morning, and lots of money at Blue Ridge Mountain sports. I tired to ignore the shin splints and carry on with my plans. Today I finally bought those trekking poles, a new daypack with a 3-liter hydration system, some gore-tex rainwear, socks and some other odds and ends.
December 29th
Spent some time and more money at Dick’s Sporting Goods. Bought mostly long-sleeved shirts. I am getting tired of thinking about all the details of the trip. I still haven’t purchased a camera yet for the safari part of the trip. Definitely want to have good shots of those wildebeest!
